After a summer without sports and a lot of unknowns going into the fall season, St. Louis saw High School sports back since before the spring stoppage back in March. With the new season starts a brand new year of Schnucks Athlete of the Week. Each week we will choose four of the top athletes from the previous week and put them in a poll for you to vote on. At the end of the week the poll will be tallied up and the Athlete will have a feature that will drop each Friday. Our first four Athletes are as followed:
Sam Heggeman– Sam and St. Francis Borgia are coming off a big 49-12 win over Pacific. Sam threw for three touchdowns and ran for one more, completing 7 of 10 of 192 yards.
Zoey Robinson– Katy got her season off to the right foot on Saturday, going 4-4 in Fort Zumwalt Souths 10-8 extra innings thriller over Bowling Green. On top of going perfect she added to it with two home runs as well as a double.
Amorion Oliphant– Amorion had three touchdowns in Duchesne’s giant opening season win over Francis Howell North 33-0. Amorion had one rushing touchdowns and caught two for over 100 all purpose yards.
Emily Chadwick– Francis Howell Central danced to a win on Friday over Fort Zumwalt South by the score of 7-1. They were helped largely by Emily who went 2-3 with four RBIs which included a double.
