Blues Place David Perron on IR, Recall Mackenzie MacEachern From San Antonio

St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the Blues have placed forward David Perron on injured reserve (IR) with an upper-body injury.

Perron has appeared in 45 games this season and ranks second on the Blues with 35 points (17 goals, 18 assists). The 6’0, 193-pound forward is currently in his third stint with the Blues and his 12th National Hockey League (NHL) season overall. A native of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Perron has amassed 479 points (192 goals, 287 assists) in 767 career regular-season games.

In addition, Armstrong announced Thursday the Blues have recalled forward Mackenzie MacEachern from the club’s American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage. 

MacEachern has appeared in 33 games with the Rampage this season, posting 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) and 18 penalty minutes. The 6’3, 205-pound forward has also dressed in six games with the Blues, tallying two points (one goal, one assist) and two penalty minutes. The Troy, Michigan, native was originally drafted by the Blues in the third round, 67th overall, of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
