St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the Blues have recalled forward Mackenzie MacEachern from the club’s American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage.
MacEachern has appeared in 31 games with the Rampage this season, posting 15 points (nine goals, six assists) and 16 penalty minutes. The 6’3, 205-pound forward was originally drafted by the Blues in the third round, 67th overall, of the 2012 National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Draft. In 132 career AHL regular-season games, the Troy, Michigan, native has collected 36 points (20 goals, 16 assists) and 49 penalty minutes.
MacEachern will make his first appearance Thursday as the Blues take on the Montreal Canadiens at Enterprise Center. He will likely play on the fourth line with Ivan Barbashev and Oskar Sundqvist.
