St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced the team’s roster Wednesday for the 2019 NHL Prospect Tournament in Traverse City, Michigan.
Play begins on Friday, Sept. 6, and culminates on Tuesday, Sept. 10. All Blues tournament games will be streamed live on FOXSportsGO.com, the FOX Sports App and will also be available at www.stlouisblues.com.
The Blues roster will boast four of the club’s five 2019 draft picks, including forward Nikita Alexandrov (62nd overall), goaltender Colten Ellis (93rd overall), forward Keean Washkurak (155th overall) and forward Jeremy Michel (217th overall).
The team will also feature defenseman Mitch Reinke, who ranked second on the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage, in points last season, as well as 2017 first-round draft pick forward Klim Kostin. The Blues’ full tournament roster is attached.
The Blues will play out of the Gordie Howe Division, alongside the Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs.
The remaining teams in the tournament, the Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild and New York Rangers, will play out of the Ted Lindsay Division.
The Blues will open play against the Maple Leafs on Sept. 6 at 6:30 p.m. (eastern).
Then, they will face the Red Wings on Sept. 7 at 3:30 p.m. (eastern) before concluding division play, against the Blackhawks, on Sept. 9 at 5:30 p.m. (eastern). The final tournament games will take place on Sept. 10, including the Championship Game at 5 p.m. (eastern).
