St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko has surgery Wednesday to repair a dislocated shoulder.
He injured the shoulder in the first period of the Blues 5-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche in the final game of the season.
St. Louis only needed a point out of the game to defeat the Avalanche to make it into the playoffs, but failed to get the job done.
The 26-year-old forward lead the Blues with 33 goals on the season. His expected recovery time is six months, with hopes of returning for the start of the 2018-19 season.
