This week’s nominees are:
Cate Camenzind – Kirkwood Field Hockey – Kirkwood field hockey’s Cate Camenzind is currently ranked seventh in scoring leaders in field hockey in the St. Louis area with 36 points, 14 goals and eight assists on the season. Last week Camenzind scored four goals in two combined games against Eureka and Rosati-Kain.
Parker Frye – Francis Howell Central Football – Parker Frye stepped up for Francis Howell Central football against the number six ranked team in the conference on Friday sniping 241 total passing yards and 18 rushing yards. The young quarterback went 10 for 19.
Jake Hansen – Marquette Soccer – As one of 13 seniors on the Marquette boys’ soccer roster, Jake Hansen scored a two goals and an assist on senior night Thursday to help lead the Mustangs to a 4-1 victory over Summit, the state’s top-ranked Class 3 team. Hansen is a multi-sport varsity athlete and has since been named to the First-Team All-State in soccer.
Bria Garmon – Festus Volleyball – Bria Garmon is currently ranked second in kill average leaders in the St. Louis area with 372 kills this fall, averaging more than five kills per game. Last week Garmon had 15 kills against Perryville.
Mekhi Hagens – Cardinal Ritter Football – Cardinal Ritter football’s Mekhi Hagens currently leads the St. Louis area in passing leaders with 2,972 total passing yards this season, and only four interceptions. Last week Hagens scored a touchdown and threw for 218 yards.
