It’s time to vote for this week’s Schnucks High School Athlete of the Week. Make sure to get your vote in by Wednesday when the votes are tallied. This week we will go back to the regular schedule of just the top selection being voted Athlete of the Week.
Erin Drummond: Erin is a senior at Cor Jesu Academy who plays defense for John Burroughs High School. Erin started playing hockey when she was five years old and has played on all boys teams for most of her life.
Natalie Schaljo: Natalie is a two-sport winter athlete playing both club ice hockey and wrestling. She finished second in Columbia last year after having just picked up wrestling four months prior. When she isn’t on the mat, Natalie is the net minder for the McCluer North hockey team.
Brooke Highmark: Brooke led her team back from a double-digit deficit, scoring 17 points along the way to help Westminster win the 32nd annual Troy Tournament, 48-42.
Dylan Branson: Dylan had 24 points in his team’s 83-54 win over Hancock to capture the South Side Championship. The game was tied at the half, but the Panthers went on a 32-10 run in the third quarter piloted by Branson, who shot 11 of 13 in that span.
