Vote Now For The Schnucks High School Athlete of the Week

Each week, KFNS will nominate five area players to be voted on for our weekly High School Athlete of the Week award presented by Schnucks.

The winner will receive a plaque and short video tribute produced by Hanna Yates and the KFNS digital team, which will appear on 590thefan.com the following Monday afternoon.

This week’s nominees are:

Kobe Smith – Ritenour Basketball – Smith is in the top 20 in scoring leaders in the St. Louis area in boys’ high school basketball with 378 points on the season, averaging 21 points per game.

Leon Perry – Confluence Basketball –  Perry is in the top 10 in scoring leaders in the St. Louis area in boys’ basketball with 328 points on the season, averaging 23.4 points per game.

Kate Martin – Edwardsville Basketball – Martin is in the top 15 in scoring leaders in the St. Louis area with 334 on the season, averaging 17.6 points per game. Last week Martin had 38 points in two combined games.

Olivia Stephens – Parkway Central – Stephens is currently ranked 21st scoring leaders in the St.Louis area with 318 points on the season, averaging 16.7 points per game. Last week Stephens had 51 points in three combined games.

Gage Vierzba – Fort Zumwalt East Hockey – Vierzba is fifth in scoring leaders in the St. Louis area in high school hockey with 61 points on the season consisting of 31 goals and 30 assists
